Epidendrum 'Thomas Ott', a primary hybrid between Epi. pseudepidendrum and melanoporphyreum. The former has a rather bright orange lip and grows at lower elevation in Costa Rica and Panama, the latter is dark purple and grows at higher elevations in Peru. I like this plant primarily for its foliage, and find the pink-and-yellow of the flower's lip a little off-putting. But you can't tell when it hasn't fully opened!
